My Essentials: Spring 2014

Hi there! :) For my first blogpost I decided to give you a run through my spring essentials. As soon as the days get longer and the sun stronger I like to change what's in my makeup draw. The colours get brighter and my foundations lighter.

For my skin I've been enjoying the combination of Benefits' POREfessional and the Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW foundation, which I discovered fairly recently. To cover my dark circles and any spots on my face I use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. As I have quite oily skin I always have to set my foundation with some kind of powder. At the moment I'm using the Stay Matte powder by Rimmel London. To contour I use the Benefit Hoola bronzer and for blush I usually use Coralista, also by Benefit.

When it comes to eyeshadow I usually keep it quite natural, which is why I always keep my Urban Decay Naked palette on top of my vanity where I can reach it easily. As you can see from the picture below, it is well loved and probably my most used eyeshadow palette. My favourite colours are Naked (transition colour), Buck (crease colour), Sin (all over the lid) and Virgin (brow bone and inner corner highlight).

For lips I tend to use fun spring colours like Chatterbox or Speed Dail, by MAC. They are perfect for people who like to wear a bit of colour on the lips, yet don't feel comfortable wearing super bright colours like MACs Girl About Town or Maybellines' Shocking Coral (which I LOVE by the way).

On days where I want more of a nude lip I usually go for Angel or Bombshell, both by MAC as well.

So these are all the products I must have in spring. What are yours? xo
