Monthly Favourites: September 2014

Hello beauties! Can you believe that I haven't done a beauty post in six weeks?! Jeez that's a long time - BUT it's favourites time and after months of sharing random favourites I finally have some beauty bits to talk about! Yaay!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation: I bought this foundation a few months ago and I know I'm embarrassingly late to the party but I LOVE THIS! It seriously is the best foundation I've ever tried. It goes on really smoothly, stays on for ages and the finish is absolutely beautiful. It gives you the most gorgeous glow without looking too shiny. It makes you look super healthy and even though the coverage is a little heavier than my usual foundations it still looks very natural. There is just nothing wrong about it.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: I've heard a tone of beauty gurus say great things about this guy so I obviously had to try it myself and even though I it is not my favourite for concealing my under eye area (every time I use it I notice a lot of creasing) I absolutely love it for highlighting my face. It gives the most natural highlight and really helps to pull everything together. I've been using it almost every day for the past weeks and I feel like it became a firm staple in my everyday foundation routine.

MAC Blush in 'Peachtwist': A sort of rusty medium peach with golden shimmer - the perfect Autumn colour! After I bought this I thought this would be way too dark for my light complexion but with a light hand this colour is beautiful! Paring it with a dark red/burgundy lip and a winged eyeliner creates the perfect autumn look.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 480: Speaking of a burgundy lip - this is the one to go for! Rimmel lipsticks have always been at the top of my list when it comes to the drugstore and this is one no exception! The formula is amazing: moisturising, pigmented and long lasting. Everything I'm looking for in a good lipstick. Oh and have I mentioned the colour? I am obsessed with it. It's stunning!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette: It wouldn't be a proper favourites post without mentioning an eyeshadow palette. I might have mentioned this palette before but definitely not in a favourites post. Isn't is beautiful? There isn't one shade in it I don't love. The formula of them it great, even the glittery ones - they pretty much have no fall out. They are nicely pigmented, easy to blend and they don't crease even without a primer. The only downside to this palette is that it makes me want to eat chocolate every time I use it. It smells SO GOOD!

God it feels good to get back to the beauty section of my blog! Have you tried any of these products? Would you have mentioned them alongside your favourites? Let me know! xo, Marie

  2. I really want to try NARS Sheer Glow! You said it stays on for a long time which has been my main concern so hopefully I can get a sample of it and try it out. :) Also, the Chocolate palette is gorgeous!

    1. It does! On University/Weekdays I wear it without a primer and can get away with 8-9 hours. When you wear it with a primer you can easily wear it for 10-11 hours. Perfect for a night out! :) a sample is always a great idea! Let me know how you get on with it! xo, Marie
